DPS Yvette Review

DPS Yvette

A really fun and playful ski in the ski deep fresh snow I tested it in. It was very forgiving and flexible in the big powder pillows that Strawberry fields area is famous for, but point them down hill on a clear run from the peak and there is nothing these skis won’t handle. They are one of the widest ladies skis in the fleet so you have loads of float and the big early rise tips means that you never feel you are going to take a nosedive.

I took out the 168 cm which is a bit longer than I would normally ski but with it’s big rocker tip and tail it does ski a bit shorter. It was surprisingly lightweight to handle and nimble around the trees for such a big ski. The fairly aggressive side cut on this ski means that it turns nice and easy on the groomed runs too.

Easy to turn for those who aren’t aggressive skiers, but will also respond to the extra pressure applied by heavier or faster skiers.

These skis were super fun and playful, nimble in the trees and tonnes of float.

The Black Crows Atris Birdie might be the nearest thing to a one ski quiver for Niseko.
